The national award is the highest accolade in people management practices and recognises Lexington’s commitment to supporting employees in their career and further development.
The Gold standard is achieved by just 7% of Investors in People recognised organisations in the UK. It acknowledges the organisations that demonstrate high standards in business and outstanding employee engagement, core values and the ability to align business needs with its people.
Mike Sunley, Chief Executive at Lexington said: “We are delighted to have been reaccredited with the IIP Gold standard. It is recognition that we are taking the right steps to ensure we are best placed to attract and retain the best talent in our industry. People are at the heart of everything we do in our business and are crucial in delivering excellent service.
We have worked hard to create a culture that enables our people to work in a fun and inspirational environment, where they can develop skills in a creative way and have the opportunity to innovate. This has been driven from the very top – we have a very clear vision and know our people are key to success. We will continue to work closely with them and look for ways to improve how we work.”
Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate Lexington Catering on their Gold accreditation which demonstrates people management excellence and a real commitment to staff development. With only 7% of businesses reaching this level of achievement, Lexington Catering should be extremely proud of their award.”
Investors in People assessor, Andrea Defries, stated that Lexington is a dynamic, ambitious company with passionate and knowledgeable directors and senior managers, highly supportive and thoughtful managers and warm, caring people all of whom are dedicated to providing excellent service to clients.
Andrea said, “The values are truly embedded within the company’s culture and everyone agreed Lexington is a great place to work because of the way they are skilfully managed and continually developed. It seems that leaders have created not just an award-winning company, but also a vibrant, growing community.”
