The ‘Cue for Change’ pool tournament, which took place in Devonshire Square’s beautiful Western Courtyard last week, was organised to launch the beginning of a charitable partnership between Devonshire Square and the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust.
The tournament was based on a ‘winner stays on’ rule and challenges and took place each day between from 12.30pm to 2.30pm. It was so popular the events team had to add another day.
John Hazelton of Talent Io played Joao Paulo Marinho of Coventry University in the Cue for Change final. After an exciting game John Hazleton won the competition – he received a £50 voucher form Planet Organic UK.
Patrizia Sechi, Customer Experience & Events Manager at Devonshire Square, said: “The event was really successful and such fun to be part of. We are immensely thankful for everyone’s support and generosity, and the money raised will be given to Dame Kelly Holmes Trust, a charity that uses the power of sport to get the lives of young disadvantaged people back on track.”
