Last year our wonderful People Manager, Emma Langford, won the FSM People Development Award.
B&I Catering magazine caught up with Emma to find out more about her role as People Manager at Lexington and Elior UK.
Emma said, “It’s amazing to work somewhere where people really are at the heart of everything the business does and this is a strategy driven from the very top.
“I’ve introduced new initiatives that aim to retain the culture and values as we grow. This has been a major focus as part of a wider growth strategy for the business.
“The leadership team is massively supportive of and involved in the people side of things and have been from day one. They are interested in the people strategy but equally give me the freedom to try new ideas and innovate, allowing me to take ownership.
“Winning the Award came as a huge shock on the night. In fact, I wasn’t even at the table when they announced the winner! But it has given me reassurance that we are on the right track and continue to deliver people initiatives that are industry leading.”
